HAN TANG PTE Business Chinese courses are tailored for professionals who need to quickly acquire proficiency in Mandarin or prepare for the Business Chinese Test (BCT). These courses in Singapore emphasize practical conversation, intermediate to advanced levels, and business writing skills, incorporating essential vocabulary, sentence structures, grammar, and cultural norms.
Our curriculum also serves as a preparatory course for the International Business Chinese Test (BCT) managed by Hanban, the Chinese Ministry of Education. Alongside the standard Hanban-approved Business Chinese textbook, our teaching integrates industry-specific terminology and scenarios relevant to the students' professions, such as Mandarin for Banking Professionals. The content is practical and up-to-date, designed to minimize learning challenges and ease the learning process for busy professionals.
BCT Exam Structure
The BCT consists of two separate components: BCT (Listening and Reading) and BCT (Speaking and Writing). Candidates may choose to take either component independently or both simultaneously.
There are two formats for the BCT exam: Paper-based and Computer-based. Currently, the computer-based format is available only in Singapore.BCT Grading Levels
The BCT assesses proficiency through five levels:
Level 1 Unable to communicate in Chinese in business settings.
Level 2 Basic ability to communicate in Chinese for business purposes.
Level 3 Effective communication in Chinese for business activities.
Level 4 Proficient communication in Chinese in business contexts.
Level 5 Fluent and appropriate communication in Chinese for business interactions.
Executive Business & Culture Chinese Program
Our institution provides advanced Chinese language courses tailored for senior executives in banking, international corporations, and private enterprises. This program is designed for individuals who already possess foundational knowledge of Chinese—such as having completed A-level Chinese or HSK 5 and above—or who can take a complimentary assessment to determine their proficiency. The course aims to refine and elevate their Chinese language skills. It covers not just general language proficiency (including common vocabulary, business terminology, and grammar), but also delves into industry-specific jargon and aspects of Chinese history and culture.
Given the demanding schedules of executives, there is limited time to absorb extensive Chinese vocabulary, which can hinder effective learning. To address this, our seasoned instructors customize the course to fit each student's learning style and professional needs, focusing on accelerating the acquisition of relevant vocabulary and phrases for immediate application in social and workplace contexts.
